In honor of Muppet*Vision 3D closing this year, celebrate our top 5 Muppets

The ride might be coming to a close but the cloth, inanimate creatures are alive forever.

The Muppets have withstood 70 years of life. Surviving the growing and ever-changing world, staying true to themselves no matter what. But while they stay constant, the world sometimes moves on. As Muppets*Vision 3D closes, let's reflect on the famous Muppets who made the ride as iconic as it was.

5. Beaker

While a muppet of only one word, his presence is undeniable. With his eternal frown and piercing open eyes, he’s got the liveliness we all wished we had. He also works as a test subject in a prestigious lab. After all, what is more admirable than a man in STEM?

4. Animal

I’ll tell you what’s more admirable than STEM… Rock & roll, baby! Animal’s, for lack of a better term, animalistic qualities make him one of the most exciting muppets to watch. He does what he needs to do, play those drums. And he delivers every time. Who cares if he could snap at any moment? That’s all part of his musical process. You wouldn’t get it.

3. Statler & Waldorf

They may not be in everyone's top 5, but it’s true. The charmingly hypercritical duo is one of the best parts of not only the ride but every Muppet program. They say what everyone is afraid to say. They criticize their peers, never actually performing themselves but letting others know how bad it is from the balcony. Love them or hate them, they will let you know how they feel about you.

2. Miss Piggy

You just don’t have The Muppets without her. Hersassy, fashionable, and chaotic energy keeps the ship from sinking. She’s too good for “Kermy,” and she’ll remind him of that daily. She doesn’t take anything from anyone and will let you know when you’re doing too much.

1. Kermit

It's the obvious choice. Kermit is the throughline of the Muppet family over all of these years. He encourages kindness, hard work, and happiness. Although the craziness of Muppet*Vision 3D can be hard to follow, Kermit is always there, leading us through.

While one attraction closes, another one will emerge! This is not the end of the Muppets by any means.
