We've seen Mickey get pretty interactive in the past, but this one got personal.

It's safe to say that Mickey Mouse is likely one of those characters that has been with us almost forever. Along with characters like Winnie the Pooh and Bugs Bunny, Mickey is an entity we've recognized since infancy. It wouldn't be unfair to say he grew up with us and vice versa.

Thanks to the magic of Disney Imagineering, Mickey himself has come a long way since 1928, and the years have certainly been kind to him. But as technology has grown for more than just Disney, it seems Mickey has noticed as well.

Mickey catches us doom-scrolling

Throughout the years, it's amazing to see how far technology has come. However, many believe it is oversaturating our popular culture, resulting in media addiction, mental health issues, and an obscene amount of doom scrolling.

Remarkably, it seems that Disney isn't blind to the wave of technological dependencies plaguing its potential consumers. Enter Mickey Mouse with a PSA on Tiktok of all places.

In the video (featured here), Mickey practically calls the viewer out for spending too much time scrolling on their phones, even admitting he can get caught up in the experience as well. It's certainly a cute video, but Mickey telling us to go exercise and drink some water wasn't on our radar.

The Walt Disney Company is a multimillion-dollar corporation, and those in charge know how to utilize various social media platforms like TikTok and Instagram to their advantage. Whether this reminder to take a break once in a while was sincere or a clever marketing device is debatable, but Mickey always makes everything a little bit sweeter.

At the end of the day, Disney knows how to leave an impression on the current culture. Whether it's the big, the small, or the handheld screens, the mouse remains an absolute constant.
