The Disney Lorcana October restock is still happening: Here's when!
After weeks of radio silence, Ravensburger has finally announced that the October restock for Disney Lorcana is still happening. And even better, it's still happening this month!
With just a few days left in the month, I was worried that the restock had either already happened and there still wasn't enough supply, or it was just being combined with the holiday reprint. As it turns out, it's neither of those.
Ravensburger confirmed the Disney Lorcana October booster pack restock will begin to roll out at local game stores in North America starting this week (presumably around October 30th).
The fact they are referring to this a sa "booster pack restock," seems to suggest we'll need to wait for the Set 1 reprint for more starter packs to hit store shelves. We also don't know exactly which retailers will be getting restock shipments.
They specifically mention "local game stores," which has me believing it will be local mom-and-pop game stores. In other words, not big box retailers like Target, Best Buy or Walmart.
Since its worldwide release in September, Disney Lorcana cards have been in high demand and short supply. The collectible trading card game has been sold out nearly everywhere, resulting in pent up demand that will hopefully be alleviated by this upcoming restock.
If not, fans will have another chance at securing more cards when the reprint arrives in mid-November. In the same social media thread, Ravensburger also confirmed the reprint of The First Chapter -- which will feature boosters and starter decks -- will begin shipping in mid-November in North America.
This will presumably coincide with the launch of Set 2: Rise of the Floodborn. Ravensburger previously stated that Rise of the Floodborn cards will also be included in the reprint, hopefully ensuring ample supply for the new set.
