A couple of Disney World’s most underrated resorts just got some refreshments that make them shine better than ever!
When a Disney World visit is mentioned, most visitors prefer some of the bigger resorts. The deluxe and moderate ones are great for being mini-vacations of their own and shine nicely with so many restaurants, entertainment, recreation options and more.
The value resorts, as the name implies, are the cheapest of the Walt Disney World properties. They cater to the guests who are likely to spend most of their time in the parks and looking for a less expensive WDW trip.
The All-Star ones are the most famous with Sports, Music and Movies boasting similar looks yet appealing to guests. Pop Century is notable for its fun mix of nostalgia while Art of Animation is stellar bringing in classic Disney animated films.
Now, a few of these resorts have undergone some refurbishments that make them better than ever for WDW guests!
The new look for All-Star resorts
As shown on the Disney Parks Blog, each of the three All-Star resorts now boasts some wonderful murals. Per a Disney spokesperson “the mural designs have so much whimsy and humor injected into them. You can’t take a few steps without finding a new funny gag moment.”
Each mural is themed to their resort so Music has Mickey leading an orchestra, Sports has Goofy firing up a stadium crowd and Movies has Donald pushing himself into the spotlight. Each one boasts some fun details for guests to look for.
Movies’ World Premiere Food Court has been reimagined, looking more like a classic Hollywood theater, complete with parody movie posters featuring the Disney characters.
Sports’ Goofy Gifts & Sundries has also been remade with the clever touch of a hardwood floor like a basketball court and selling the sports theme more.
Pop Century pops more than ever
Pop Century has also gotten refurbishments that include more vibrant colors for the food areas. The new look is inspired by the wild setting of huge props and replicating the 20th century theme well.
There’s also the addition of a new coffee shop and while we don’t know the name or menu yet, it should keep up that same fun theme that makes Pop Century notable.
These refurbishments are a great way to entice guests to these value resorts. They are underrated in their convenience to the parks and while not boasting the same high-end recreation as the deluxe or moderate resorts, still a great spot for families. Thus, each getting a nice new look can only make the value resorts shine more.
