Disney Lorcana: Into the Inklands' first Enchanted card could mean big changes are coming
With just a few days until the release of Disney Lorcana: Into the Inklands, the third set for the popular trading card game, Ravensburger has given us our first look at one of the new set's Enchanted Cards.
Revealed via IGN Germany, it's an Enchanted Version of the Peter Pan - Pirate's Bane Card with alternate hand-painted art treatment by Kuya Jaypi.
Aside from this being the first Enchanted card to be revealed from Into the Inklands, there's something of particular interest to note. The card is numbered as "215/204."
In the previous two sets, Ruby Enchanted cards were numbered 211/204 and 212/204. This being 215/204 could indicate that Ravensburger is moving away from each ink color having two Enchanted cards. Or, perhaps more exciting, the number of Enchanted cards per set is expanding.
Some are speculating that moving forward we may start to get one Enchanted Location card per set. Locations are a new card type making their debut with Into the Inklands. Locations can provide bonuses for characters who visit them or provide benefits for being in play.
Rarity aside, the artwork for this card is simply beautiful. I'll admit, I haven't played a ton of Disney Lorcana. I collect the cards more as a personal hobby because I love the art style.
Unfortunately, I haven't had much luck unpacking Enchanteds. In the hundreds of packs I've opened, I've yet to pull an Enchanted card.
Here's hoping my luck will change with Into the Inklands. The new set will arrive on February 23, 2024, releasing at local game stores first. The wider mass market retailer release will come a few weeks later on March 8, 2024.
Certain smaller hobby stores have already started taking pre-orders for the new set ahead of its launch, but many larger retailers will simply wait until the official release day before the cards go on sale.
