Disney's "A Whole New Sound" has been delivering banger after banger leading up to its release and this week fans got to hear We The Kings' reimagining of "Go the Distance" from the animated classic Hercules.

Another rock band from the early 2000s, We The Kings rose to prominence in 2007 with the self-titled album containing the platinum single "Check Yes Juliet." And now they are taking a swing at one of Disney's most inspirational songs.

As one of my favorite songs from Disney's music catalog, I was excited to hear We The Kings take on this classic. And they certainly nailed it. There's something about the way that Travis Clark delivers the lyrics that just makes me feel all warm and fuzzy.

We The Kings cover of "Go The Distance" is the fourth song to be released from Disney's "A Whole New Sound," a collection of iconic Disney songs reimagined by some of the most beloved pop-punk alternative rock, and pop artists.

So far, we've heard covers from New Found Glory ("Part of Your World" from The Little Mermaid), Simple Plan ("Can You Feel the Love Tonight" from The Lion King), and Magnolia Park ("I2" from A Goofy Movie).

And really, this is just the tip of the iceberg. We've still yet to hear covers from Plain White T's ("Surface Pressure" from Encanto), Bowling For Soup ("Friend Like Me" from Aladdin), Yellowcard ("A Whole New World" from Aladdin), and many more.

"A Whole New Sound" is set to fully debut on September 6th with a vinyl releasing on October 4th. With less than a week until the album's release, this may be the last track released as a sneak peek. This will most definitely be on my trip to Disney playlist.
